For 16 years, the Maine Women’s Fund has invested in the power of women and the dreams of girls through its statewide programs. More than $1.4 million has been raised and donated to 250 nonprofit organizations promoting lasting social change. In every county in Maine, women and girls have been positively impacted by programs supporting their:
* economic empowerment,
* access to affordable, quality health care and health information,
* protection and survival from violence, and
* self-esteem and leadership development.

In order to leverage that impact, the Fund has also provided extensive technical assistance to its grantee partners, which educate and advocate on behalf of Maine women and girls. This collaborative approach to grantmaking and advocacy was designed to build the capacity of the entire community of feminist organizations in Maine. We believe it has, and will continue to do so, for many years to come.
